CALL FOR ABSTRACTS & POSTER PRESENTATIONS

The 13th CPRW Committee invites attendees of the workshop to submit abstracts highlighting research relevant to pulses that fit within the conference themes:

  • Breeding and genomics of pulses

  • Sustainability of pulse-diversified cropping systems

  • Management of weeds and diseases (including but not limited to root rots) in pulse crops

  • Processing, utilization, and application of pulses and pulse ingredients

  • Health benefits of pulses

  • AI for pulse research and processing

Timelines:

  • Submissions for both oral and poster presentations will be accepted until June 30, 2026.

  • Notification of acceptance will be emailed to presenters by July 31, 2026.

Submission Details:

The main text of the abstract must not exceed 300 words (Oral and Poster).

For poster presentations:

  1. The size of a poster must not exceed 4 ft in width and 3 ft in height (120 cm x 90 cm).

  2. Presenters are responsible to bring printed copies of their posters.

  3. Posters will be set up on designated boards according to their assigned numbers (more information on this will be supplied to those chosen before the event date).

Student Awards: The 13th CPRW will present the First, Second, and Third Place awards for both oral and poster presentations during the workshop. Only students enrolled in a graduate program at the time of the workshop are eligible. Additional details on the selection criteria will be provided closer to the conference date.

Student Travel Awards: The 13th CPRW Committee offers Travel Awards to students to help offset travel expenses. Three awards of $500 CAD each will be granted to students in the form of a cheque to put towards travel costs such as flights, hotel accommodations, etc. Applicants must meet all the eligibility requirements for consideration.
